Pre-pregnancy Care:

During pre-pregnancy care, the following services are available:

1) General health screening

2) Care of your existing medical and health problems

3) Genetic counseling

4) Nutritional advice

5) Dietary advice

6) Weight control advice

7) Clinical examination, including blood pressure, cervical smear, cardiac status assessment and urinalysis.

8) Laboratory investigations

The Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist is able to perform deliveries at one of the following Hospitals / Medical Centres:

Pre-pregnancy counseling

During pre-pregnancy counseling, the Specialist will discuss and investigate medical conditions either past or present which may influence or affect your baby's health or your health during future pregnancies.

Pre-pregnancy services available include:

1) Testing for rubella immunity.

2) Testing for thalassaemia.

3) Identification of woman at risk of having a fetus with congenital abnormality.

4) Chromosome analysis

5) DNA analysis

6) Management of at-risk couples
